More about Julia and Jill

Julia: A qualified multi-linguist, Julia has a professional background in communications management, wine industry, education and politics. She has volunteered with the Samaritans and as a Dementia Friends Champion. Her Mother had vascular dementia and husband was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy in 2018. Running, Yoga and Rare Dementia Support help keep her strong and positive.

Jill: With a professional nursing background, Jill is currently a Project Consultant at Rare Dementia Support. Over the past 30 years, she has had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of people living with a rare dementia diagnosis. Their stories have continually informed her practice and remain the incentive behind her work. Jill was a co-founder of the Frontotemporal Dementia Support Group in the early 1990s and subsequently co-facilitated the development of the four other rare dementia support groups at UCL, culminating in the merger which formed Rare Dementia Support in 2016.
